We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Construction Manager to join our team in the Northeast US. Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate field construction activities for electric substations, transmission lines, and generation updates.
- Determine contract resource requirements, service specifications, and manage contractor performance.
- Monitor and evaluate activities of outsourced construction companies to ensure adherence to safety, quality, schedules, and budgets.
- Develop, review, and evaluate contracts and agreements affecting project execution and functional area operations.
- Collaborate with management staff to resolve problems and coordinate activities with field construction managers.
- Ensure construction management is integrated into planning, scheduling, cost tracking, construction, installation, and testing and acceptance activities.
- Coordinate transmission substations and lines construction schedules with other functional areas within the company.
- Provide constructability feedback on electrical, mechanical, protection, and civil construction standards.
- Collaborate with other business organizations, contractors, and subject matter experts to resolve disputes and prioritize business requirements.
- Participate in the ongoing budget process to provide items, manpower, and control of the construction budget.
- Participate in transmission facilities construction projects negotiations and joint planning efforts with other utilities.
- Help lead and collaborate activities to address or remedy substation and lines transmission system emergencies as necessary.
- Identify construction risk during planning, execution, and construction phases and prepare risk mitigation plans.
- Adhere to company policies, programs, and procedures as well as Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), and New England Independent System Operator.
- Minimum of 7 years of construction management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field.
- Must be willing to travel to construction sites on a day-to-day basis and attend meetings.
- Must thoroughly understand and utilize information technology in the performance of work, including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project.

Expected compensation range is between $97,000/yearly - $150,000/yearly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
