About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipe Fitter TIG Welder to join our team at Carbon60 in Birmingham. As a key member of our mechanical engineering team, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding schedule 20 and schedule 40 mild steel and stainless steel pipework up to 8' diameter, as well as fitting fabricated pipework and manufacturing brackets and associated pipe supports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and butt weld schedule 20 and schedule 40 mild steel and stainless steel pipework up to 8' diameter
  • Fitting fabricated pipework and manufacturing brackets and associated pipe supports
  • Assist other pipe fitters and welders as necessary
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience of pipe-fitting and stainless steel TIG butt welding within a food, drink or petro chemical processing environment
  • Good all-round welding experience with current or previous coding's to back this up
  • Ability to work within a clean, ventilated and well-equipped workshop
