We are seeking a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the University of Cambridge as part of the Simons Observatory (SO):UK project. This exciting opportunity is focused on the development of the SO data-processing pipeline and delivery of Science Ready Data Products (SRDPs), with a specific emphasis on validation of SRDPs for gravitational lensing studies and developing simulations to interpret high-resolution data from the Large-Aperture Telescope.

As a key member of the SO:UK team, you will be working closely with Anthony Challinor, Blake Sherwin, and their groups to contribute to the success of the project. Your expertise in theoretical/analytic skills and experience in developing/applying analyses for precision CMB studies/relevant fields will be invaluable in this role.

This is a fixed-term position available for two years in the first instance, with the expectation of extension for a further year subject to funding availability. The post is full-time, but we welcome applications from those who would like to work flexibly.

Key responsibilities will include collaborating internationally with colleagues, interacting closely with staff and students, disseminating research findings via publications/media (international workshops/conferences), and participating in teaching and learning. You must possess a PhD in Astronomy or related field, have a scientific publication record, and a clear outline of current/future research areas.
