About the Role:
  • As a Civil/Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of our Building Engineering Business Line, working on innovative infrastructure solutions for building projects across various sectors.
  • You will be responsible for developing surface water drainage strategies and flood risk assessments, as well as foul water drainage strategies and utility appraisals.
  • Key responsibilities include site levels design, cut/fill analysis, feasibility and highway route studies, highway design, traffic management planning, pavement analysis and design, drainage analysis and design, and streetscape design.
Examples of Projects:
  • Shawfield Masterplan and Remediation project: AECOM provided engineering, geotechnical, environmental, hydrology, and civil/structural services for this large-scale development in London.
  • Old Oak development: AECOM is providing infrastructure, structural, transportation, and environmental services for this major development in London, which will include over 26,000 new homes and 49,000 new jobs.
  • University of Cambridge's North West Cambridge development: AECOM has been providing engineering consultancy services for this 136ha mixed-use development since 2009.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (minimum 2:1 or equivalent)
  • MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering or MEng in Civil Engineering (advantageous)
  • Creative, practical, adaptable, and enthusiastic individual with a desire to pursue a career in civil engineering
  • Ability to think methodically and design, plan, and organize parts of projects
