Job Title: Programme Controller - Alliance PMO

We are seeking an experienced Programme Controller to join our Alliance PMO team at Yorkshire Water. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of our multi-billion pound programme of capital investment across our clean and wastewater assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain end-to-end project schedules for optimised programme delivery, monitoring and reporting on progress against baseline.
  • Carry out 'what-if' scenario planning of sites to ensure the optimum schedule is achieved.
  • Predict and influence programme performance by proactively identifying possible delivery risks before they occur and support in the development of mitigation plans.
  • Provide Programme Intelligence on delivery progress to facilitate better decision making.
  • Work closely with the Alliance PMO particularly on cost, risk and change management to provide a fully integrated performance approach.
  • Understand and develop best practice and innovation supported with measuring and monitoring the implementation of these new ideas.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in utilising various planning tools including P6 Primavera. Experience in all aspects of planning and scheduling including but not limited to:
    • Work Breakdown structure creation
    • Preparation and update of logic linked programme
    • Baseline management
    • Critical path analysis
    • Preparation of periodic reports
    • An understanding of Risk management and change management
    • Experience of implementing EVM and cost loaded schedules across a large complex and diverse programme
    • Experience of progress measurement, completion forecasting and status reporting
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences
  • Excellent people skills
  • Ability to challenge undesired behaviours appropriately
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships across the wider teams
