About the Role

The Environmental Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a Global Environmental Compliance (GEC) program, focusing on high-exposure jurisdictions as part of the client's property & facilities team, focusing specifically on a global technology project.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute a phased implementation plan for the GEC program, prioritizing high-exposure jurisdictions based on site count and rental space.
  2. Conduct thorough environmental baseline assessments, including site-specific risk profiling and inventory of permits and licenses.
  3. Map the regulatory landscape for each jurisdiction, identifying applicable environmental requirements.
  4. Perform compliance gap analyses, develop corrective action plans, and implement necessary measures to ensure compliance.
  5. Establish and implement a compliance management system, including tools for tracking permits, deadlines, and corrective actions.
  6. Develop and deliver compliance training programs for site operation teams.
  7. Monitor and report on program performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Facilities, Corp. EHS&S, Legal, and regional EHS&S teams, to ensure program success.
  9. Collaborate with external consultants or legal counsel as needed for regulatory research or compliance support.

Requirements

To be successful as Environmental Compliance Manager, you will have an understanding of environmental regulations, environmental risks, and project management, along with an ability to collaborate with cross-functional and local EHS teams to identify, assess, and mitigate environmental risks, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and minimizing the potential for regulatory action.
