Electrical Design Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Bennett And Game Recruitment. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, specifying, and managing electrical projects from feasibility through to construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and manage electrical projects, including all aspects of Electrical Services, to meet British Standards and other relevant legislation.
  • Conduct Electrical Services Feasibility Studies and Energy Efficiency Reports, including Solar PV, LED Lighting, and Electric Vehicle Charging.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborate with clients and design teams to deliver projects that meet their needs.
  • Develop and train junior and graduate engineers as required.
  • Assist the Design Manager in implementing the Design strategy.
Requirements:
  • Professionally qualified to degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience in Electrical engineering, engineering consultancy, and/or electrical installations.
  • Proficiency in design calculation software packages: AutoCAD, Dialux, Hevacomp, Amtech, etc.
  • Good working knowledge of industry regulations, electrical design, and installations.
  • Able to manage/prioritise workload to meet deadlines while maintaining good communication with clients and design teams.
