Principal Teacher of Numeracy

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Teacher to lead our Mathematics and Computing Departments at Knox Academy. The successful candidate will also be responsible for whole school numeracy and digital literacy.

The Principal Teacher will be responsible for leading the Mathematics and Computing Departments, developing and implementing curriculum plans, and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning. They will also lead on whole school numeracy and digital literacy, working closely with colleagues to develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes.

• Lead the Mathematics and Computing Departments, developing and implementing curriculum plans and ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
• Develop and implement whole school numeracy and digital literacy strategies, working closely with colleagues to improve student outcomes.
• Contribute to the development of school policy in relation to behaviour management, pastoral care, and assessment.
• Provide advice, support, and guidance to colleagues, and review the career-long professional learning needs of staff.
• Assist in the management, deployment, and development of pastoral care staff, and implement whole school policies dealing with guidance issues, pastoral care, assessment, and pupil welfare.
• Work in partnership with colleagues, parents, and other specialist agencies as appropriate, and participate in the overall administration of the school.

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced Principal Teacher with a strong track record of leading and managing teams. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders. They will also have a deep understanding of curriculum development and implementation, and be able to lead on whole school numeracy and digital literacy.
