Operations Manager Job Description

Andy File Associates Limited is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and projects, ensuring all tasks are completed on time, on budget, and to a consistent high quality.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations and projects, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Prepare and submit quotations for works enquiries from existing clients.
  • Carry out audits and spot checks to confirm service delivery by both direct employees and sub-contractors is of the required quality and being delivered safely.
  • Carry out first line management duties with staff, including disciplinary and employment processes.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, ensuring it remains high.
  • Prepare reports on key performance indicators and present findings to senior management.
  • Drive a culture of safety first and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the contractor supply chain to ensure the business has sufficient resources in required disciplines.
  • Coordinate and deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Ensure work equipment is maintained in accordance with Company and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Work as part of the trade team and participate in cross-trade working as and when required.
Requirements:
  • Facilities management or building maintenance services environment experience.
  • Management experience.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • IT Literate.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to persuade and influence with all levels of staff in a corporate environment.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.

The post holder must be willing to attend any formal training required to maintain the high level of competency needed. Must have in-depth knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation and legislation relevant to building services.
