Deputy Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Mad Squirrel Brewery. As a key member of our St Albans Taproom, you will assist the General Manager in driving the outlet's success.

The ideal candidate will have managerial or supervisory experience and be skilled in leading teams to achieve exceptional results.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee bar and kitchen operations, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • In the General Manager's absence, manage the entire outlet, maintaining high standards and consistency.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Manage social media platforms to promote our brand and engage with customers.
  • Assist in event planning and execution, driving sales and customer engagement.
  • Place orders, manage inventory, and maintain stock levels to minimize waste.
  • Drive sales growth by promoting craft beer and our brand offerings.
  • Coordinate front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functions.
  • Conduct regular stock takes and perform stock rotations to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Maintain high cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the outlet.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1 year of managerial/supervisory experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Strong organisational and attention-to-detail skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality results.
  • In-depth knowledge of craft beer and a willingness to learn about the industry.
  • A positive attitude, with a proactive approach to achieving goals and objectives.
Compensation Package:
  • A competitive salary of £26,000 - £28,000 per annum, based on experience.
  • A generous profit-related bonus scheme, rewarding outstanding performance.
  • A flexible working schedule, averaging approximately 40 hours per week over 4 days.
