We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Clinical Oncology to join our dynamic team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Cancer Directorate, you will play a vital role in the management of urological and breast cancers, with a specialist interest in prostate seed brachytherapy.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional clinical care to patients with urological and breast cancers, maintaining the highest standards of treatment and management.

• Participate in complex radiotherapy planning and treatment techniques, including prostate seed brachytherapy, to deliver innovative and effective care.

• Deliver systemic therapy and contribute to the development of clinical trials to advance cancer treatment.

• Supervise and mentor junior doctors, undergraduates, and other staff to ensure the highest standards of care and education.

Requirements

• You must be fully registered with the GMC and have CCT or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview.

• We welcome applications from those unable to work full-time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

Language Requirements

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice. Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
