As Senior Legal Advisor - Real Estate Transactions, you will play a key role in supporting the Investments Group and transactional legal team in providing support and advice to fellow investment group members on all legal aspects of real estate transactions in Europe and across all real estate sectors.



Job Description

Key Responsibilities:




  • Negotiate and monitor the negotiations of all documents related to the acquisition, disposition, financing, and development of real estate projects, including Heads of Terms/Letters of Intent, joint venture agreements, purchase and sale agreements, management agreements, and financing documents.
  • Instruct and monitor outside counsel on legal due diligence and negotiation of contractual documentation, as well as advise on investment decisions.
  • Participate in meetings and communicate with internal investment, portfolio company, asset management, fund compliance, financing, and development teams and coordinate with outside counsel on all aspects of the applicable transaction.
  • Supervise performance of outside counsel ensuring that costs are kept to a minimum and core information is maintained internally.
  • Coordinate with tax team and outside counsel in connection with internal restructurings, REIT compliance, and other tax-related matters.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on review of non-disclosure agreements for all acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Work internally with investment group in legal documentation relating to brokers, advisors, and due diligence consultants.
  • Assist with material asset management transactions, including high-value leasing and development documentation.


Requirements:




  • 4-6 years' PQE experience at a major law firm, real estate law acting for private equity sponsors or corporate law acting on private equity real estate transactions, preferred.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Pragmatic, pro-active, and organized.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Strong team player and effective communicator with good business acumen.
  • Experience working on cross-border or multi-jurisdictional transactions.
