Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at CV Library. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the power industry, with specific experience working on high-voltage transmission systems.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with a minimum of 5 years of experience to contribute to the continued success of our energy infrastructure. As a Senior Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing electrical designs for high-voltage transmission systems, substations, and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Analysis: Develop and review electrical designs for high-voltage transmission systems, substations, and associated equipment.
  • Project Management: Oversee the execution of electrical engineering projects, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the integration of electrical systems with existing Grid infrastructure.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for electrical systems, with a focus on improving reliability and performance.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, standards, and health & safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer, with specific involvement in Grid or similar power infrastructure projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of high-voltage systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, and other key electrical infrastructure components.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., Grid specifications, IEC, BS standards).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) from a recognized institution.
  • Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
