Dimensional Calibration Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dimensional Calibration Manager to join our team at GPW Recruitment. As a key member of our laboratory, you will be responsible for managing the calibration and repair activity, ensuring the smooth operation of our departments, and meeting key objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the calibration and engineering processes within the facility.
- Supervise and motivate staff, plan daily work schedules, and prepare technical quotes and test specifications.
- Handle technical enquiries, liaise with clients, and receive and register work as necessary.
- Complete quality plans, test schedules, technical reports, and ensure the profitable delivery of all existing and future programs of work.
- Participate in external and internal audits, and report future audits to the Quality Manager.
- Responsible for the technical and administrative maintenance and calibration of all equipment.
- Ensure all work is executed properly and safely, and that all information required for charging the customer is available.
- Proven experience as a Calibration Manager, Head of Laboratory, UKAS Signatory, Team Leader, Supervisor, or Senior Calibration Engineer.
- Proven calibration experience for a UKAS/ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, preferably in dimensional or mechanical calibration.
- UKAS signatory status, working knowledge of quality systems, and experience with ISO 17025 audits.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, understand GD&T, and apply 1st principle measurement techniques.
- Excellent communication, people management, and development skills, with the ability to influence and motivate people.
- Experience of staff training and mentoring, and a proven track record of implementing change and improving efficiency.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, such as NVQ L3/BTEC, preferably to HNC level or higher.
