About the Role

Athona Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lead Care Manager to join our luxury care service in Lancaster.

Salary: £32,500 per annum

Job Description

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the team and delivering high standards of care for older adults and individuals with dementia. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with CQC, regulatory, statutory, and quality monitoring requirements.

Responsibilities also include monitoring the wellbeing of residents, updating care plans to reflect changes in needs, developing strong relationships with local partners, raising the home's profile in the community, and acting as a role model for the team.

The ideal candidate will have previous management experience in a care setting, ideally with dementia and elderly care, and possess strong leadership skills to inspire and develop a team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring compliance with CQC, regulatory, statutory, and quality monitoring requirements.
  • Monitoring the wellbeing of residents and updating care plans to reflect changes in needs.
  • Developing strong relationships with local partners and raising the home's profile in the community.
  • Acting as a role model for the team and promoting Evermore Care's values and vision.
  • Leading by example, managing the day-to-day operations of the home in the Home Manager's absence.
  • Coordinating and managing care provision to meet individual needs, ensuring quality is maintained.
  • Supporting the development of staff through training, guidance, and performance reviews.
  • Overseeing the delivery of person-centered care, with a focus on dementia and elderly care.
  • Ensuring the home adheres to safeguarding policies and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
  • Participating in the management on-call rota to provide leadership and support when needed.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous management experience in a care setting, ideally with dementia and elderly care.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of CQC requirements and regulatory standards.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
  • A thorough understanding of safeguarding and DoLS legislation.
