Mechanical Engineer

As a key member of our site operations engineering team at NTT Global Data Centers, the successful CFM Engineer Air Conditioning will be responsible for overseeing mechanical vendors' HVAC delivery and ensuring all statutory and contractual deliverables are met within Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Key responsibilities include:
- Authoring and overseeing mechanical MOP/SOP/EOP documents
- Ensuring relevant RAMS are provided by vendors and are suitable and sufficient
- Acting as an AC competent person (CP)
- Attending AP11 and medic first aid training and becoming an Authorised Person (AP)
- Providing technical oversight and support on all mechanical works and projects
- Assisting with commissioning and witnessing of existing infrastructure upgrades and enhancements
- Participating in-house training to operational colleagues to increase awareness and competencies in respect of mechanical/HVAC systems
Requirements:
- Industry or manufacturer training in HVAC, including cooling systems, evaporative cooling, pumps, and pressure systems
- Experience in AC systems and FGas certification
- HNC level attainment of a relevant mechanical qualification (desirable)
- Demonstrable knowledge of water hygiene treatment regimes in line with L8/HSG274 (desirable)
- IOSH - Working Safely (desirable)
- General understanding of Data Centre mechanical systems and building services
- Good numerical and literacy skills and high levels of computer literacy
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels with good relationship building
- Self-motivated and keen to develop, with a willingness and desire to develop
- To possess initiative with an inquisitive nature, unafraid to ask appropriate questions and challenge requests when other options could be more effective
- To possess a full clean driving licence valid for use in the UK
- To undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019
