Piping and Static Equipment Engineer Job Description

At Synapsco, we are seeking an experienced Piping and Static Equipment Engineer to join our project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the engineering activities related to piping and static equipment, ensuring timely and successful project execution.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and coordinate the engineering activities related to piping and static equipment, ensuring timely and successful project execution.
  2. Assist the discipline lead engineer in their activities, providing technical expertise and support as required.
  3. Contribute to the development of engineering documents and deliverables, ensuring they meet the required standards and quality.
  4. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company rules, and project requirements.
  5. Participate in the 3D model activities, reviews, and implementation, ensuring operability, safety, and maintainability of the plant.
  6. Liaise with the project data manager to ensure proper digitalization of technical data.
  7. Support project reviews, provide answers, and ensure timely implementation of findings.
  8. Assist the discipline lead engineer in preparing derogation requests, responding to engineering clarifications, and resolving technical issues.
  9. Participate in the preparation of documents for purchase, bid evaluation, and inspection.

Accountabilities:

  1. Supervise the piping and static equipment engineering related activities, ensuring successful and timely project execution.
  2. Ensure adequate and timely reporting to the discipline lead engineer, highlighting critical issues and proposing remedial actions.
  3. Demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to HSSE rules and requirements, ensuring their implementation within the area of responsibility.
  4. Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regards to the company's ethics and code of conduct, promoting and enforcing the corporate anti-corruption program within the project team.

Project Overview:

The Papua LNG Project is a key project for Synapsco, involving the development of an onshore and offshore project with multiple components, including well pads, the upstream gathering network, and a main onshore and offshore export system.

Requirements:

  • Professional experience: 15+ years in oil and gas projects.
  • Experience in similar positions: 10+ years at the same or equivalent position with managerial responsibilities.
  • Level/Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent.
  • Languages: English mandatory, French is a plus.
  • Technical knowledge: familiar with 3D CAD modeling software and tools, and software Compress or PV Elite.
  • Knowledge of Australian standards is a plus.
