Clinical Lead Physiotherapist Orthopaedics and Surgery

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Lead Physiotherapist to join our Elective Orthopaedic team at Ashford Hospital, Surrey.
The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership and expertise in the management of elective orthopaedic inpatient and day case procedures, ensuring excellent patient outcomes and adherence to GIRFT guidance and NICE guidelines.
The main duties of this role include:
- Leading the advanced assessment, clinical diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients after orthopaedic surgery.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of therapy services to the elective orthopaedic wards and day surgery unit.
- Working autonomously as an expert clinician, liaising effectively with other health professionals to ensure evidence-based delivery of service within professional scope of practice.
- Providing leadership in specialist field and contributing to quality improvement, research, and audit.
- Supporting staff development and training across professional and organisational boundaries.
- Participating in weekend working on a rota basis and late cover to the elective orthopaedic ward and day surgery unit.
