About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Support Professional to join our team at 5 Star Recruitment.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and support services. As a Care Support Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring that service users receive person-centered care, promoting their independence, and empowering them to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Person-Centered Care: Work collaboratively with service users to understand their needs, preferences, and goals, and develop personalized care plans that cater to their unique requirements.
  • Promote Independence: Encourage and support service users to engage in activities that promote their independence, such as managing daily tasks, accessing community resources, and developing life skills.
  • Foster Positive Relationships: Build strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, empathy, and respect.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure that service users' living spaces are safe, clean, and comfortable, adhering to health and safety guidelines and organizational policies.
  • Administer Medication: Administer medication to service users in accordance with their care plans and organization's policies.
  • Participate in Team Meetings: Regularly attend team meetings to discuss service user progress, share best practices, and collaborate on initiatives that enhance the quality of care.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Possess a relevant qualification in healthcare or social care, such as NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 6 months' experience working in a care setting, preferably with vulnerable adults.
  • Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including:

  • Annual leave: 28 days + bank holidays

Working Hours:

Full-time position (37.5 hours/week) with flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and waking nights.
