Jameson Legal is a leading UK law firm seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their thriving Wills, Trusts & Probate Team in Basingstoke.

This dynamic role offers the ideal candidate the opportunity to work alongside a close-knit team of experienced Lawyers and Partners, supporting them with administrative tasks and contributing to the successful delivery of complex legal cases.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Drafting, editing, and formatting legal documents, including wills, trusts, and probate-related papers;
  • Maintaining accurate records, case files, and correspondence, ensuring seamless communication with clients and stakeholders;
  • Scheduling appointments, court dates, and deadlines for the legal team, maximizing productivity and efficiency;
  • Conducting research using online databases and libraries to gather vital information for the team;
  • Managing billing and accounting tasks, such as tracking billable hours, generating invoices, and processing payments.

To qualify for this exciting opportunity, candidates must have prior experience as a legal secretary in a reputable law firm, demonstrating exceptional administrative skills and attention to detail. Strong organizational abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in computer applications are also essential.

A competitive salary package is on offer for this role, estimated at £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience. This reflects the importance of the position within Jameson Legal's operations and the value we place on our team members' expertise.
