Community Support Specialist

About the Role:
The Community Support Worker will provide assistance to an adult male with developmental disabilities in achieving their physical, economic, vocational, recreational, social, emotional, and daily living skills development. This role requires a strong understanding of complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD, and other neurobiological conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Person Served in achieving their goals and objectives
- Provide support with daily living skills, including personal care and hygiene
- Assist with vocational and recreational activities
- Document daily progress and provide regular updates to the team
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans
Requirements:
- Certificate or diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or related disciplines
- 1-2 years experience in social services, preferably working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges
- Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver's license
- Knowledge of and ability to work with complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD, or other neurobiological conditions
- Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)
