Outpatient Clinic Nurse Manager

Job Summary
A high-profile, accessible, and responsive leader with professional, clinical, and managerial responsibility for Dermatology Outpatients at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. The post holder will be expected to provide clinical expertise and knowledge, demonstrating a sound understanding of the issues related to outpatient care and management.
The successful candidate will be accountable for own actions in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct, contributing towards corporate objectives, and acting within local, Trust, and statutory guidelines and policies at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clinical governance and ensuring that clinical governance is embedded in practice.
- Identifying and assessing complex clinical and non-clinical issues, implementing resolutions, and monitoring/auditing outcomes.
- Managing interdepartmental/organisational activities, including HR, budget management, complaints, and patient flow.
- Demonstrating clinical credibility within the outpatient setting and various specialities, including understanding use and maintenance of specialised equipment.
- Utilising and ensuring others utilise information and IT systems to secure accurate and timely patient, workforce, and resource data available.
