Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our high-performing team at Farnborough Airport. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in leading the planning and execution of strategically important projects within a live airport operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage various projects throughout the design, procurement, construction, delivery, and handover stages to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Champion a world-class safety culture for projects and contractors, maximising health, safety, and environmental performance.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that may adversely impact project delivery or adversely affect airport operations through the project/programme lifecycle.
  • Deliver projects within defined cost, schedule, and quality requirements, leading the successful handover of assigned projects to Operational Departments.
  • Develop and manage internal and external project teams, ensuring compliance with all legal and statutory obligations applicable to this role.
  • Manage and positively influence key stakeholders associated with the project.
  • Identify and implement lessons learned to continuously improve project delivery.
Requirements
  • Education to Degree level or equivalent in project management, architecture, engineering, or construction related field.
  • Full UK driving license holder.
  • Typically three years' experience as a project manager on projects with a value over £5m in a relevant industry, including experience leading teams and managing external suppliers.
  • Desirable experience in leading infrastructure projects in a live operational environment, managing multiple, interfacing, concurrent projects, and knowledge of airport environment.
  • Practitioner level in project management (e.g. APMP Project Management Qualification or PRINCE2 Practitioner).
