About the Role
We are seeking an experienced dentist to join our team of clinicians participating in the Out of Hours Emergency Dental Service at Barrow Dental Centre.
The service provides emergency and urgent care to patients who have been triaged by trained dental care professionals and NHS111.
As a dental practitioner in this role, you will be working as part of a small clinical team to provide emergency and urgent dental care to patients who have accessed the service via the dental triage process.
Main Responsibilities
- To provide emergency and urgent dental care, as defined by the Band 1 urgent treatment NHS guidance.
- To work as part of a small clinical team in a dental surgery at Barrow Dental Centre.
- To liaise closely with NHS England who commission this service and the Local Professional Network.
Person Specification
Essential
- BDS or equivalent.
- Dental Foundation Training completed (or equivalence achieved).
- NHS England Performer List registration.
Desirable
- Previous experience working in emergency dental service.
Knowledge and Skills
- Basic Life Support.
- Compliant with training in core CPD determined by GDC.
- Compliant with training in Medical Emergencies in Dental Practice.
