The Transformation Unit seeks a skilled Senior Engineering Manager to lead the in-house maintenance team, ensuring all building services and equipment comply with statutory legislation and guidance.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the Engineering Department, developing and implementing departmental procedures, and contributing to Trust Policies. Your expertise will provide a source of information and training for equipment users at all levels.

We are looking for an individual with a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Charter Status or equivalent within a relevant Building Services or Engineering professional body. You will have demonstrable knowledge and experience equivalent to the above, evidence of continued professional development, and certification in NHS Management.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a similar role within an Estates or Facilities team, successful negotiation and contract management, and proven ability and experience of compliance and performance monitoring of a managed service. You will also have estates experience within an Acute NHS healthcare environment and experience of developing joint and collaborative working with local health and commercial partners.

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits including an excellent pension scheme and 27 days' holiday entitlement.
