Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEMH Specialist

Job Summary: Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team in an Alternative Provision within Blackburn. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) in an alternative provision or PRU setting.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support pupils with SEMH difficulties in a nurture class
* Develop relationships with pupils and ensure they achieve their potential academically and personally
* Work closely with the school team to implement clear routines and therapies to re-engage students with the education system

Requirements:

* Knowledge and understanding of working with SEN and challenging behaviour
* Proven record of engaging all pupils and raising their attainment
* Enhanced DBS Disclosure or subscription to DBS Update Service
* Legal right to work in the UK
