About the Role:

We are seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our team, focusing on PCB manufacturing. As a key member of our small, dynamic team, you will work on complex Agile Projects, designing, manufacturing, and supplying novel power-dense, high-integrity electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronic circuits, ensuring high-quality and reliability.
  • Analyse electronic circuits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Generate requirements for electronic systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Capture schematics and designs, utilizing industry-standard tools.
  • Provide PCB layout advice and review, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Select and review components, considering factors such as cost, availability, and performance.
  • Take on varied engineering tasks to support projects and programs, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, effectively communicating technical information.
  • Interface with customers on technical and project issues, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Document your work in line with local operating procedures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Take an active role in Continuous Improvement, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing changes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, with a strong foundation in electronics manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Quick learner with a flexible and adaptable approach, able to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of analogue and digital design, with experience in schematic capture and drawing review.
  • Circuit simulation experience, with a strong understanding of PCB layout supervision.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous.
  • Experience in the Naval / Maritime domain would be advantageous.
