About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Behavioural Support Assistant to join our team in Liverpool, working with secondary students aged 13 to 19. The school is dedicated to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for students who have struggled in mainstream education, offering individually tailored learning programmes that focus on choice and challenge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personalised Support: Working closely with students to understand their unique needs, helping them to navigate challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Building Trust: Developing strong, trustworthy relationships with students, creating an environment where they feel comfortable and supported.
  • Re-engagement: Assisting students in reconnecting with their education, fostering a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Special Educational Needs: Supporting students with special educational needs, tailoring your approach to ensure each student receives the best possible care and attention.
Requirements
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive individual with a passion for supporting young people.
  • Experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviours, ideally within a secondary school setting.
  • A strong understanding of special educational needs and the ability to adapt your approach to meet diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • A commitment to helping students achieve their personal and educational goals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date.
