Job Summary

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Clinical Triage Specialist to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and triaging patients who present with a range of illnesses.

Main Duties

The Clinical Triage Specialist will prioritize all calls received, allocate appointments/call backs, and referrals to the appropriate service for each patient. They will work closely with the team, including GPs/ED and the streaming team, to ensure the best outcome for all patients.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse and strong clinical skills. They will be able to work innovatively across professional and agency boundaries and have a good understanding of the health needs assessment process.

Working Arrangements

The role requires working out of hours, primarily between 18:00 - 08:00, and weekends 08:00-08:00, including bank holidays and nights. The successful candidate will be expected to support the Urgent Treatment Centre service as per service demands.
