Production Manager

We are seeking an exceptional Production Manager to oversee production activities at our UK manufacturing facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a production and test team of up to 30 people, ensuring the production of Electrical Control Cabinets, Pressurised Water Vessels, and testing of all manufactured equipment to meet quality and safety requirements.
- Implement an environment of challenge and innovation, driving continuous improvement and ensuring commercial targets are met.
- Lead, manage, and develop the systems production and test team, fostering a culture of encouragement and ownership.
- Drive and deliver continuous improvement through production, demonstrating tangible quality improvement and working towards 100% RFT.
- Take the lead in driving change and creating a LEAN production setup, identifying improvement opportunities and managing the implementation of projects to realise benefits.
- Ensure Health & Safety excellence is implemented and maintained, with ongoing training requirements met and clearly defined roles and responsibilities within the team.
- Manage and plan production resource levels to drive efficiency and meet financial targets, reviewing daily production progress to ensure on-time delivery.
- Work closely and seamlessly with the quality and procurement departments to improve incoming component quality, reducing the volume of rejects.
- Support other departments and/or supervisors as needed, improving visual management and maintaining high housekeeping standards throughout the factory.
- Recruit staff members, manage holiday allocation, sickness, and other HR-related tasks.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
- Data-driven with strong analytical skills.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing.
- Previous Production Management experience.
