About Mary Hare
Mary Hare is a renowned residential special school for deaf children and young people aged between 5 to 19, located on a beautiful country estate just outside Newbury. Our boarding (residential care) houses are designed specifically for each age range, providing a home from home for all children who board during term times.
We thrive in an oral environment, where our children and young people can use their voices freely. We're proud of our staff retention, with an average length of service exceeding 8 years, rising to 15 years. Our culture is welcoming, supportive, and professional, with values embedded in the daily lives of everyone at Mary Hare.
