We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Teaching Assistant to provide support for pupils with a range of particular needs in our Primary Phase. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a new 2-form entry provision in an expanding and well-established academy.

The successful candidate will be based in the Primary Phase of an all-through academy which provides a wide range of CPD opportunities and a cross-phase curriculum.

The role involves working in the classroom and implementing programmes of support designed especially to meet the needs of our pupils. The ideal candidate will be aware of and support school policies and procedures, work with individuals or small groups of children to assist in the delivery of the planned curriculum, and set up group activities under the guidance of the Class Teacher or Subject Leaders.

The successful candidate will have a hard-working and flexible attitude, a passion for working with children, and the ability to carry out designated tasks in an accurate and timely manner. They will also be able to work as part of a team, be creative and use initiative to engage children, and work under pressure with enthusiasm, motivation, and commitment.

This is a permanent position that offers an actual salary of £17,500 per annum (£23,114 full-time equivalent), working 32.75 hours per week, term time + 1 week of inset.

As part of Leigh Academies Trust, you will have ample opportunity to collaborate with your peers both within the academy and across the whole Trust. This is an important part of our vision as we know through experience that we perform better when we work together.
