Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraeducator to join our team at Danbury Public Schools. As a Paraeducator, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of our English Language Learners (ELL) students. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with certified teachers to provide individualized support to students in the ESL and Bilingual Programs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist certified teachers in developing and implementing lesson plans tailored to the language developmental level of individual students.
• Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them master equipment, instructional materials, and concepts.
• Assist with record-keeping, including tracking student progress and maintaining accurate records.
• Collaborate with teachers to create a well-organized and inclusive classroom environment.
• Participate in professional development training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
• High school diploma required; Associate's degree or 60 college credits preferred.
• Must possess or be willing to acquire the skills necessary to support the needs of English language learners.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or Portuguese) language skills required.

Working Conditions:
