Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a child with Autism on a 1-1 basis in a Primary School in Stoke.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for encouraging the positive emotional, social, and academic development of the child.

You will work closely with the child and the teaching staff to provide support and guidance to help the child reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1-1 support to the child with Autism
  • Work with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Support the child's emotional and social development
  • Assist with daily living skills and personal care
  • Communicate effectively with the child, parents, and teaching staff
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with Autism
  • SEN awareness and training
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid DBS check or willingness to apply for one
