Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified social worker to join our team at Oldham Council. As a social worker, you will be responsible for engaging with children and their parents, ensuring assessments are completed in a timely manner, and providing stability and ambition for children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with children and their parents to understand their needs and circumstances.
  • Complete assessments and develop plans to ensure children receive the necessary services.
  • Work with other professionals to coordinate services and support families.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Qualified social worker with a degree in social work or equivalent.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Experience working with children and families.
