Account Manager
Job Overview:
As an Account Manager for Dunelm, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of given categories within the Dunelm Account Management team. Your primary goal will be to deliver exemplary service and meet Dunelm's Phase 3 Supplier expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arranging and attending category meetings with the customer, identifying actions, and ensuring we deliver to their requirements.
- Building strong relationships with the customer and managing key stakeholders through regular meetings and effective communication.
- Supporting our Design and Buying teams by providing relevant data and product knowledge to drive profit and positive new development that meets the customer's strategic brief.
- Negotiating prices to our costing methodology, to arrive at the agreed margin and presenting to Senior Management team for sign off.
- Building a comprehensive knowledge of the given product categories through competitor analysis and benchmarking.
- Presenting findings to internal stakeholders and the customer seasonally, to demonstrate a full understanding of the categories in terms of scale and opportunity.
- Driving the Pre-Production process from concept through to delivery to store, ensuring stakeholders have completed all aspects of the critical path on time and raising any concerns to Senior Management prior to final deadlines.
- Completing all customer-related product documentation on time, in detail, and to the requirements, gathering information from relevant stakeholders where needed.
- Working as part of the wider Dunelm team across all areas of the business from Design, QC, Merchandising, Accounts, and Warehousing, completing and updating all required documents accurately to ensure processes are followed and stakeholders are fully updated on the customer's present requirements.
Skills and Experience:
Ideally, at least 5 years' experience of working within Supply Chain with progression to Account Manager Level. Ideally, having worked with High Street/Supermarket retailers and experience of leading supplier meetings with Head office peers. Experience in a stock-holding business and an understanding of the complexities of being part of a DTS supply team. Must have an understanding of Far East manufacturing, including costs, MOQs, and lead-times. Must have a solid understanding of and be able to create and drive a critical path. Confident with costings. A good communicator and a strong team player. Previous experience within the home textile/ceramic product areas preferred but not essential. Excellent skills in Excel, Word, Office, and PowerPoint.
