Your New Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will work with the Manufacturing Process Engineering Team to develop and improve existing manufacturing systems, processes, procedures, and equipment. Your responsibilities will include planning, coordinating, and implementing efficient and cost-effective production methods for major sub-components and final assembly of machines. You will coordinate with production, engineering, and quality assurance departments to address manufacturing issues, implement best practice standard work on the shop floor, and manage BOMs and material movement. Additionally, you will develop ergonomic processes based on Lean Manufacturing principles, provide production support, and oversee new product introductions and production launches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and improve manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment
  • Plan and coordinate efficient production methods
  • Implement best practice standard work on the shop floor
  • Manage BOMs and material movement
  • Develop ergonomic processes based on Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Provide production support and oversee new product introductions

Requirements
  • Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • An organised approach to work
  • The ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative
  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks
  • Good customer service skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • CNC programming and nesting experience (beneficial)
