Learning Disabilities Social Worker Opportunity

Ackerman Pierce is seeking a skilled Learning Disabilities Social Worker to join their team in Somerset. As a Learning Disabilities Social Worker, you will be responsible for supporting individuals with disabilities, their families, and carers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, families, and carers.
  • Conduct assessments and risk assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of service users.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to provide comprehensive support.
  • Provide short breaks and respite care to service users.
  • Manage complex safeguarding cases and ensure the protection of vulnerable individuals.
Requirements:
  • Post-qualifying experience as a Learning Disabilities Social Worker in the UK Social Care industry.
  • HCPC registration.
  • 1-2 years of post-qualifying experience in the UK Social Care industry.
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (can be obtained through Ackerman Pierce).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
