Advanced Rehab Recovery Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Substance Misuse Practitioner to join our Residential Rehab team at Stanfield House in Cumbria. This role involves delivering high-quality, person-centred health and wellbeing interventions, focusing on individuals facing complex substance misuse challenges in a residential rehab setting.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of service users with complex needs, including mental health issues, offending behaviour, and homelessness.
Conduct thorough assessments and develop recovery and risk management plans tailored to individual needs.
Deliver evidence-based psychosocial interventions on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings.
Ensure strong partnership working with other professionals and agencies, facilitating multi-disciplinary meetings where necessary.
Mentor and support Recovery Workers, offering training, supervision, and guidance.
Promote harm reduction and health advice.
Maintain accurate, high-quality records, including reports for safeguarding and other relevant agencies.
Represent the organisation at local and national forums as an expert in substance misuse and related fields.
The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
Significant experience in a substance misuse treatment and recovery setting.
Specialist training in areas related to substance misuse, such as mental health, criminal justice, or homelessness.
Strong understanding of risk management in substance use.
Excellent partnership working skills within multi-disciplinary teams.
Ability to work effectively under pressure.
