Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our client, a leading specialist in sustainable manufacturing services. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and strategic development throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make improvements to efficiency throughout the factory through factory and process line re-layouts, line balancing exercises, and improving production tooling, fixturing, and other equipment.
  • Use the collection and analysis of data to focus process improvements.
  • Manage a variety of engineering activities for current production programs to ensure compliance to customer specific and business requirements.
  • Determine the root cause of problems, implementing permanent corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of implementing Lean (or similar) into a Manufacturing facility.
  • Excellent practical engineering knowledge.
  • Ability to make savings throughout production facilities.
  • Factory layout optimisation.
  • Designing simple tools & components, supporting with accurate drawings, and co-ordinating & overseeing their manufacture.
  • Compiling and maintaining Bills of Material and other ERP system data.
