We are seeking a highly engaging 1:1 tutor to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in the Broughton area.

Job Overview

Teaching Personnel is committed to providing high-impact, 1:1 tuition for young people who cannot access traditional education due to various reasons. Our tutors work with local authorities to deliver bespoke educational sessions at the child's home or a public space.

As a 1:1 maths and English tutor, you will be responsible for planning resources around the child's needs, developing their knowledge in core subjects such as maths, English, and science.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Delivering educational sessions face-to-face with children at their homes or a public space
  • Planning resources around the child's needs
  • Developing the child's knowledge in core subjects

**Requirements:**

  • QTS or Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience working with children with SEN or SEMH needs
  • Highly engaging and able to build effective working relationships with children

The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and supporting students with SEN or SEMH needs. You will need to be highly engaging, able to build effective working relationships with children, and have experience working with children with similar needs.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £25-£30, paid weekly, as well as access to free safeguarding and CPD courses, and online reporting and classroom platforms.
