Job Title: Strategic Project Engineer

Alexander Steele is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Project Engineer to support the recruitment of a key role for one of our global food manufacturing partners.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to develop strategic projects for our UK-based sites, focusing on future-proofing, growth, performance, efficiency, and capability of our manufacturing assets over the next 10-20 years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive opportunities to maximize potential and ensure the best way to invest capital expenditure, benefiting all UK operations and maintaining operational optimality.
  • Work strategically with a holistic and long-term view, focusing on the front-end proposal process rather than project delivery and implementation.
  • Collaborate with the UK Operations & Supply Chain Director to develop and execute strategic projects.
  • Manage a multi-discipline/function team to achieve project goals.
  • Apply Lean techniques to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Project Engineering experience within FMCG manufacturing.
  • Broad knowledge of Operational & Engineering processes, ideally within food manufacturing.
  • Broad knowledge of process/technical aspects of FMCG manufacturing.
  • Management of a multi-discipline/function team.
  • Strategic critical thinking.
  • Knowledge of Lean techniques.
  • Formal engineering qualifications.
What We Offer:

A hybrid role with full autonomy of your diary, with the requirement to be in the London Head Office one day a week. You will have the opportunity to travel across the UK assets at your discretion.
