Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the performance of all mechanical systems and equipment. This will involve conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on all mechanical equipment and systems, as well as diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults on production machinery and ancillary equipment.

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will work closely with the engineering team to identify and implement improvements that enhance equipment performance and reliability. They will also ensure that all mechanical maintenance work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations, and record and report maintenance activities using the company's CMMS.

Additionally, the successful candidate will assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery as required, and provide technical support to production teams to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.

Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors.
  3. Hands-on experience with fault-finding, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.
  4. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
  5. Knowledge of health and safety procedures and compliance in an industrial setting.
  6. A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
