Job Title: Part Time Cleaner

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and reliable Part Time Cleaner to join our team at the Australian High Commission. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness within the internal areas of the building, including mopping, sweeping, emptying bins, vacuuming, and cleaning of the toilets and other areas.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To ensure that a high level of cleanliness is maintained within the internal areas as directed by the supervisor.
  • To complete assigned tasks in a timely manner while complying with the company's expectations, rules and procedures.
  • To assure the proper handling of hazardous materials, correct use of uniform, correct use of PPE and safety behavior actions on site.
  • To maintain professionalism in appearance and manners towards co-workers, clients and any other person within the site and work location.
  • To carry out other duties as assigned.

Person Specification:
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to work independently and use own initiative.
  • Reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work.
  • Good communication skills and committed to quality.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a very busy operational environment.
  • Able to work without constant supervision and follow the management instructions.
  • Reliable and flexible.
  • Full training will be provided.

Essential:
  • To provide us with 5-year checkable referencing history.
  • Previous cleaning experience would be preferred.
