We are seeking ambitious, skilled, and experienced ecologists to join our team and contribute to our mission. As a Senior Ecologist, you will play a key role in leading ecological projects, completing Habitat Regulations Assessments, and dealing with designated sites legislation.

Our team is responsible for ensuring good ecological outcomes within a complex of SPA bird designations, SSSI saltmarsh and dune communities, and habitats ranging from ancient woodland to intertidal mudflats and species-rich meadows.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, good ecological field skills, and a sound understanding of the legislative and planning policy framework as it relates to ecology and nature conservation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading ecological projects through planning and completion
  • Completing Habitat Regulations Assessments and UK Habitats classifications for Biodiversity Net Gain
  • Dealing with designated sites legislation
  • Writing concise, high-quality technical reports in line with CIEEM guidelines
  • Experience in writing fee proposals, project management, and client liaison
  • Good commercial awareness and a full clean driving license
