Wayman Education is working with a vibrant and fun primary school in Westminster seeking a proactive and emotionally intelligent Year 5 Teacher.

The school aspires to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through a supportive pastoral environment, and we are looking for a primary teacher who can drive attainment and create engaging lessons.

Responsibilities of a Year 5 Teacher:

  • Provide pastoral care to children taking their first steps in Key stage 2, promoting teamwork and a conducive learning environment.
  • Teach the Key stage 2 curriculum to groups of children, focusing on individual learning targets, encouraging strengths, and improving weaknesses.
  • Develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  • Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  • Monitor children's progress and report back to parents.
