About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced social worker to join our Family Safeguarding team as a Team Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of social workers in providing high-quality support to vulnerable children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of social workers in providing safeguarding services to children and families
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve outcomes for children and families
  • Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding
  • Provide supervision and support to social workers to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality services
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure best practice in safeguarding

Requirements

  • Qualified social worker with experience of supervising a team in a safeguarding context
  • Current knowledge of legislation and statutory guidance, especially within child protection and the court process
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of social workers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
