Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Integration Specialist to join our Vehicle Design team, responsible for designing and integrating cutting-edge technology into our vehicles.

About the Role:

  • This role involves taking ownership of engineering projects from concept to detail design, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
  • You will work closely with Electronics Engineers to design enclosures, wiring, and instrumentation installations across the entire car.
  • Participate in hardware design reviews, providing valuable insights and feedback on various designs.
  • Develop and oversee mechanical tests, ensuring all equipment is validated for use on the car.
  • Liaise with Mechanical, Composites, and Aero groups to integrate electronic hardware into the car, managing component deadlines and interdependencies.
  • Take ownership of specific components, progressing from conceptual design to delivering high-quality parts for the car.
  • Exhibit flexibility with working hours and actively contribute as part of a collaborative design team.
  • Adhere to company quality and safety standards in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and integrate cutting-edge technology into our vehicles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Work closely with Electronics Engineers to design enclosures, wiring, and instrumentation installations.
  • Participate in hardware design reviews, providing valuable insights and feedback.
  • Develop and oversee mechanical tests, ensuring all equipment is validated for use on the car.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Marine, or a related engineering discipline.
  • CAD expertise, with experience in NX and Teamcenter preferred (training available for other systems).
  • Mechanical design experience, ideally within a motorsport environment.
  • The ideal candidate would have previous experience with Harness routing and the integration of Electronics components.

Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
