We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Agri-Technical Apprentice. This role will involve supporting the operation of farm enterprises through maintaining health and safety, biosecurity, engaging with third parties, crop and animal handling, maintenance and cleanliness of machinery.
The successful candidate will be required to drive farm vehicles and hold an appropriate license. They will work alongside the supervisor, supporting daily operations for the farm enterprises including identifying and maintaining animal or plant health performance, conducting routine tasks and assisting with general record keeping practices.
The estimated salary for this position is £24,000 - £29,000 per annum, depending on experience. The location of the role is in the South West area of England, which offers a great quality of life and access to beautiful countryside.
To be considered for this role, applicants must demonstrate a keen interest in farming as a career choice and possess GCSE grades of 3 or above in Maths and English. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer care skills, logical thinking, creativity, initiative, non-judgmental attitude, and physical fitness.
The successful applicant will receive comprehensive training, including:
- 1-2-1 teaching and observations with a specialist trainer
- Face-to-face teaching as a group
- Tutorials with regular 1-2-1 time remotely
- E-learning platform with work and activities
