About the Role

The National Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Area Ranger to join our team. As a key member of our conservation team, you will be responsible for managing a small team of Rangers and contributing to the delivery of our conservation and access work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a small team of Rangers and contribute to the delivery of our conservation and access work
  • Develop and deliver work programs to meet conservation and access outcomes
  • Lead on compliance, including writing risk assessments and safety and environmental procedures
  • Engage with visitors to help them understand the value of our work

Requirements

  • Experience in land, access, and conservation management
  • Strong team player with experience of leading and line-managing teams
  • Strong wildlife identification skills and experience of working in woodland habitats
  • Ability to work safely and lead on compliance
