About the Role
The National Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Area Ranger to join our team. As a key member of our conservation team, you will be responsible for managing a small team of Rangers and contributing to the delivery of our conservation and access work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a small team of Rangers and contribute to the delivery of our conservation and access work
- Develop and deliver work programs to meet conservation and access outcomes
- Lead on compliance, including writing risk assessments and safety and environmental procedures
- Engage with visitors to help them understand the value of our work
Requirements
- Experience in land, access, and conservation management
- Strong team player with experience of leading and line-managing teams
- Strong wildlife identification skills and experience of working in woodland habitats
- Ability to work safely and lead on compliance
